As a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization, KBIA’s mission since 1910 has been to provide an exemplary enrichment program for children and to be a positive influence in the life and welfare of Kennebunk Beach and the Kennebunk-area community. With the help of our members and the business community we are able to extend scholarships to children of the Kennebunk area, keep Mother’s Beach safe, clean, and family-friendly, organize family-oriented community events and maintain KBIA’s quality enrichment programs and facilities.  

As KBIA’s 100th Anniversary quickly approaches, we ask everyone whose family has benefited from this unique organization, to consider “passing it along” in 2010 so that future generations may enjoy many, many more magical summers at KBIA. KBIA’s 100th Fundraising Committee has a goal of rebuilding KBIA’s endowment which will fund the facilities improvement plan and scholarship programs and put KBIA back on solid financial footing. We are pleased to report we have already achieved 100% board participation and the committee is encouraged by several early significant donations.
