Martin Lodish Martin Lodish is a distinguished educational professional who has led a highly successful career in academia. He has spent the last 19 years teaching and working at independent schools, building an extensive background in recruiting and supervising faculty and creating successful institutional programs. Most recently, Martin served as Academic Dean at Bridgton Academy. A long time Maine vacationer, Martin and his family decided to make it their permanent home in 2005. Four years ago Martin accepted the position of Academic Dean at Bridgton Academy in North Bridgton Maine. Bridgton Academy is the nation’s only preparatory school where the student body is composed entirely of post graduate students. Martin was responsible for managing the teaching faculty, supervising the instruction of the student body and overseeing the school’s scheduling process. He also taught a college level Chemistry course through the University of New England. In addition to those responsibilities, Martin was the Chair of the Academic Review Committee and the Professional Development Committee. Martin began his academic career at The Hill School, a private preparatory school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. During his 15 years at The Hill School Martin taught chemistry and physics and was the Chair of the Science Department. Over the years he served on numerous oversight committees and during his tenure he administered many curricular changes, including increased use of technology in the classroom. In 2001 he participated in a teacher exchange year as the Instructor of Physics at the Charterhouse in Surrey, England. He also coached the boy’s lacrosse team as well as soccer for both the girl’s and boy’s teams at The Hill School. After graduating from Haverford College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, Martin received his Masters in Education in Chemistry from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Martin, his wife Kristin, and their three children; Sophia 12, Josh 10, and Tobias 4 reside in Portland, Maine. Martin volunteers his time and serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Breakwater School, a small progressive PK-8 independent school also located in Portland. Martin’s interests and hobbies include traveling and hiking – he’s also an avid Red Sox fan. |

Mimi Meserve

Mimi comes with vast experience working with children; she is currently the Drama Teacher at Kennebunk High School and in the past has taught elective English at Kennebunk High School, K-12 Drama on Vinalhaven Island, and has been in charge of numerous local productions. Mimi is a native of Kennebunk and after completing her BFA in Theater at NYU's Tisch School for the Arts and the City University of New York-Brooklyn College. She returned to Kennebunk in 2006 and currently lives in town. Mimi is in charge of registration and communications with members.
