2010 KBIA INSTRUCTORS
KBIA’s teaching personnel is comprised of educators, college students and counselors-in-training (CITs). The result is a highly competent staff of various age levels and teaching experiences. KBIA’s directors and senior staff are caring, professionals with extensive backgrounds in education, child development or recreational enrichment. Like the majority of our members, the majority of our senior staff returns to KBIA season after season providing our children with consistent leadership role models. Our CITs also return year after year, progressing from campers to CITs to counselors. CITs are required to take preparatory classes and earn certifications prior to becoming CITs. Evaluation of the staff is continuous and is monitored through membership surveys of instructional effectiveness. Additions and changes to the staff and development of new programs is a year round effort overseen by the Directors and the KBIA Board of Directors.
